Steven Gerrard confirms his retirement from football

Former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard has announced his retirement from professional football.

Gerrard had just finished a contract with the LA Galaxy in MLS, but he was unable to get them into the play-off finals, and it was announced he would be leaving the club.
